Getting started with Call Flow Designer
Last updated: 2026-08-19
Call Flow Designer lives in the Dromlik admin console under Call Features > Call Flow. Everything you build is stored on the PBX, so a published flow keeps running even if you close the browser.
The workspace
| Area | What it does |
|---|---|
| Component panel (left) | All available nodes, grouped into Basic, Call Handling, Data, and Integration. |
| Canvas (centre) | Drag components here and connect their output branches. |
| Properties panel (right) | Settings for the selected component: prompts, variables, destinations. |
| Toolbar (top) | Save, validate, test, publish, version history, and zoom controls. |
Before you build
- Upload or generate the voice prompts you plan to play
- Create the queues, ring groups, and extensions the flow will transfer to
- Define business hours and holidays under System > Business Hours
How a flow runs
A call always enters at the Initial Action node and follows one branch at a time until it reaches a terminating node such as Transfer or Hang Up Call. Each node can write variables that later nodes read, which is how conditions, database lookups, and HTTP requests influence routing.
