Test an AI Receptionist

Before you point real callers at a new AI Receptionist, run a few test calls or chat sessions from inside the admin console. Tests don't consume your AI minutes and don't show up in CDR.
Prerequisites
You have already created an AI Receptionist.
Run a test

Open the receptionist
Go to AI → AI Receptionist and click the one you want to test.

Switch to the Online Test tab
Two test modes are available in the left panel: Call and Chat.

Test by call
Click Call → Start. The receptionist answers in the browser. Ask the kind of questions a real caller would ("what's your address?", "I'd like to talk to sales"). Test calls are capped at 5 minutes.

Test by chat
Click Chat → Start and type questions. Useful for verifying knowledge base answers quickly without speaking out loud.
What to check
- Does the greeting sound natural at normal speech speed?
- Are knowledge-base answers accurate? If not, refine the source file.
- Do intent transfers pick the right destination for the phrases your callers actually use?
- Does the receptionist handle silence and interruptions gracefully?
