Bulk create extensions

When you're rolling Drömlik out to a whole team, adding extensions one by one is slow and error-prone. Bulk creation lets you stand up dozens or hundreds of users in a single action — either by generating a range of empty extensions and filling them in later, or by importing a CSV that already contains everyone's details.

Two ways to bulk create

• Generate a range — Drömlik creates N empty extensions starting at a number you choose (e.g. 100 extensions from 1001). Use this when you want the placeholders ready before you have user data.
• Import from CSV — Drömlik creates one extension per row, using the names, emails and settings in your file. Use this when you already have a user list (from HR, Active Directory, your old PBX).

Before you begin

• Decide a numbering plan (e.g. 1xx for HQ, 2xx for the branch office). Once a number is in use, changing it disrupts that user's contacts and call history.
• For CSV imports, download the template from the bulk-create panel — column order matters.
• Confirm your plan has enough user licences for the new extensions. Drömlik blocks the import if you'd exceed your licence.

Generate a range of extensions

   Open the bulk-add panel

   Go to Extension and click the arrow next to Add > Bulk add.

   Choose the starting number and quantity

   Enter the first extension number (e.g. 1001) and how many to create (e.g. 25). Drömlik shows the resulting range so you can confirm it doesn't collide with existing numbers.

   Set shared defaults

   Pick the user role, voicemail PIN length, ring timeout and outbound route that should apply to every new extension. Per-user details (name, email) come later.

   Create

   Click Save. Drömlik creates the extensions as empty placeholders. No welcome emails are sent yet — they go out the moment you add an email address to each extension.

Import extensions from CSV

   Download the template

   In the bulk-add panel switch to Import CSV and click Download template. The template contains every supported column with example rows.

   Fill in the CSV

   One row per user. Required columns: extension_number, first_name, last_name, email. Optional columns include mobile, role, department, caller_id_name, did, voicemail_enabled.

   Upload and validate

   Drag the CSV onto the import panel. Drömlik validates every row before saving anything. Errors (duplicate number, invalid email, role not found) are listed with row numbers so you can fix them in the file and re-upload.

   Confirm and import

   Review the summary — how many extensions will be created, how many updated, how many skipped — then click Import. Each row gets a welcome email when its extension is created.

What the imported users receive

Every row with an email address triggers the same welcome email as a single manual extension creation: extension number, password-set link, and download links for the Drömlik App.
