Presence overview

Last updated: 2026-05-29

Presence is the mode a Drömlik extension is in at any moment — Available, Away, Do Not Disturb, On a Business Trip, Out for Lunch, Off Work, or any custom mode you define. Each presence has its own call-handling rules: where incoming calls go, whether voicemail picks up, whether the user is offered to a queue.

Presence is the single most powerful way to make Drömlik behave like a real-world office. A user going to a meeting flips one switch and their calls re-route — no forwarding rules to remember, no IT ticket.

What presence controls

  • Ring strategy — which devices ring (desk phone, Drömlik App, mobile twin) and in what order.
  • Call forwarding — where unanswered or busy calls go (voicemail, another extension, external number).
  • Queue membership — whether the user is offered calls from queues they belong to.
  • Greeting — which voicemail greeting plays.

Built-in presence modes

ModeTypical use
AvailableNormal working state. All devices ring, queues offer calls.
AwayStepped away briefly. Calls ring then forward to voicemail.
Do Not DisturbHeads-down work. Calls go straight to voicemail without ringing.
Lunch BreakShort, predictable absence. Calls forward to a colleague or voicemail.
Business TripMobile twin only. Desk phone and queue offers disabled.
Off WorkOutside business hours. Voicemail with closed-hours greeting.

How presence is set

  • Manually, by the user — from the Drömlik App, a desk phone function key, or a feature code. See Manually switch presence.
  • Automatically, by business hours and holidays — Drömlik flips presence on a schedule so users don't have to remember to set "Off Work" every evening. See Switch presence automatically by business hours.
  • By an administrator, from the admin console — for users who can't change it themselves, or as part of an emergency override.
