Extension overview

Last updated: 2026-05-01

An extension is the user account that ties a person to your phone system. It has an extension number (e.g. 101), a name, an email address, and a set of permissions. Once a user has an extension, they can sign in to the Drömlik App on desktop, web, or mobile and start making and receiving calls.

What you can do with extensions

How extensions relate to other concepts

  • Extension groups bundle related extensions (e.g. Sales, Support) together so you can apply settings or route calls to the group as a unit.
  • Queues and ring groups are different mechanisms for distributing inbound calls across multiple extensions.
  • User roles control what an extension's user can change in the Drömlik admin console.
