Extension overview
Last updated: 2026-05-01
An extension is the user account that ties a person to your phone system. It has an extension number (e.g. 101), a name, an email address, and a set of permissions. Once a user has an extension, they can sign in to the Drömlik App on desktop, web, or mobile and start making and receiving calls.
What you can do with extensions
- Create an extension — add a single user to the system
- Bulk create extensions — add many users from a CSV file
- Edit an extension — change a user's name, email, or settings
- Delete an extension — remove a user who's leaving the organisation
- Import and export extensions
- Configure voicemail
- Configure call forwarding
How extensions relate to other concepts
- Extension groups bundle related extensions (e.g. Sales, Support) together so you can apply settings or route calls to the group as a unit.
- Queues and ring groups are different mechanisms for distributing inbound calls across multiple extensions.
- User roles control what an extension's user can change in the Drömlik admin console.
